Lindsay Hansen, Director
Eddie Higginbotham IV, Associate Director
Eddie Higginbotham IV oversees major programming and supports the director in office operations and strategic planning. He manages orientation logistics, support of special populations, and scholarship and grant processes for the Parents and Families Fund. He has a bachelor’s degree from Northwestern State University of Louisiana and a master’s in higher education from Florida State University. Before coming to UT, he was assistant director for leadership and new student engagement at the University of Georgia. He has also worked at Florida State University.
Lindsey Snow, Coordinator
Lindsey Snow coordinates Fall Family Weekend and selects, trains, and supervises the orientation leader team. Originally from Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, she has a BS in marketing from the University of Florida. She has an MS in higher education and student affairs from Indiana University, where she also worked with career services and a leadership program and served on the advisory board for Theta Phi Alpha Fraternity before coming to Knoxville in May 2018.
James Kelly, Coordinator
James Kelly works with family programs, including the Parents Association and fall and spring Welcome Week programs, and manages the office’s communications.
A native of Georgia, he has a BBA in marketing from Georgia Southern University and an MS in college student personnel from UT. His background includes oversight of new student welcome and online orientation programs at the University of Colorado Boulder and orientation and student leadership programs at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
Carla White, Administrative Specialist
Terri Williams, Accounting Specialist
Terri Williams is responsible for budgeting, accounting, and other administrative support needs. She has 20 years of service at UT and is working toward a BS in accounting.
Megan Edwards, Graduate Teaching Assistant
Second-year graduate teaching assistant Megan Edwards works with orientation, student leaders, and program planning. She has a BA from Sonoma State University and is working toward an MS in college student personnel with plans to graduate in 2020.
Miranda Rutan, Graduate Teaching Assistant
First-year graduate teaching assistant Miranda Rutan works with orientation, student leaders, and program planning. She has a BFA in Graphic Design and BSBA in Marketing from the University of Tennessee at Martin and is working toward an MS in college student personnel with plans to graduate in 2021.
