Registration & Costs

Registration for Fall Family Weekend involves two separate transactions. The first is purchasing Family Weekend passes for each member of your family attending, and the second is purchasing football tickets for those planning to attend the game. Payment for both purchases can be made only with Visa, Mastercard, or Discover.

The final screen of the Family Weekend registration system will provide a link and code to purchase football tickets  in the Family Weekend section of Neyland Stadium. The number of football tickets that your family can purchases cannot exceed the total number of Family Weekend passes. (For example, if you want to purchase four football tickets, you must purchase at least four Family Weekend passes.) This policy helps to ensure that only Parents Association members and their guests are able to sit in the Family Weekend section.

If your student plans to sit with you at the game, check “I will purchase a football ticket for this student” in the Family Weekend registration system. See below for more information on football tickets.

Before beginning the online registration process, please determine the following:

  • Who will attend Family Weekend
  • Who will attend the football game
  • Whether your UT student will sit with you at the game

Be sure to print copies of all receipts—you will need them to pick up your materials at check-in.

Family Weekend Pass

  • $35 per parent or adult guest (age 13 and above)
  • $20 per UT student or child guest (ages 6–12)
  • Free for children age five and under. After registering all other guests, call 865-974-4546 to register these participants. You will still need to purchase a football ticket for them to attend the game.

Each Family Weekend pass includes:

  • Admission to the Friday evening programming
  • Admission to the Family Weekend Big Orange Tailgate and Silent Auction in Circle Park (includes meal and entertainment)
  • Family Weekend T-shirt, giveaways, and other UT memorabilia

Football Tickets

Parent and Guest Football Tickets

  • $45 per ticket (sections G, H, I, and Z15) for the lower level
  • $30 per ticket (sections GG & HH) for the upper level

View Shields-Watkins Field from both sections at Seats3D.

All tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis. You and your family may purchase up to 10 tickets together (including UT student tickets) provided all participants are registered for Family Weekend. UT Athletics charges 10 percent processing fee, which is added to the cost of each ticket.

UT Student Football Tickets

If your student plans to sit with you at the football game, you need to do two things: First, purchase your student a Family Weekend pass, and also check the “I will purchase a football ticket for this student” ticket package in the Family Weekend registration system. In the football ticket system, select and purchase a discounted student ticket for $10. You must purchase your student a ticket in the same transaction as your family’s tickets in order for all seats to be located together. Students who plan to attend the football game but do not want to sit with their family can purchase a student ticket for $10 through Big Orange Tix during the regular ticket claim period in September.

All football tickets purchased as a part of Family Weekend registration can be picked up during Family Weekend check-in. Football tickets will not be shipped to your home address but will be included with your Family Weekend registration materials. If you use a credit or debit card with a different cardholder name to purchase football tickets, email parents@utk.edu to ensure that your football tickets are paired with your materials.

See the Parents Association site for more information.
